xenonyms is proud to announce the first installment of the collaborative ‘XENO’ series.
XENO I is a collection of tracks made in four very different parts of the globe, the EP starts off with a futuristic floor stomper by Berlin-based artist Akrobat, continues onto Richmond, USA with Charles Taciturn’s eerie tune, stops by the Philippines for some apocalyptic rave sounds courtesy of PΛRΛ, and finishes in Barcelona with a bass music hybrid by label founder GFXIII.
“Akrobat’s latest output is a shaking wrestle of feedbacks, subs and breaks. Hit me. Lick me. Bite me. Kick me. Grab me. Stab me. Bruise me. Kiss me. Let’s get physical, again.” - Akrobat
“This track was made a few months ago during a period of immense writer’s block. It’s one of the few songs from that period I was happy with.” - Charles Taciturn
“The track was written during community quarantine in district 313 (barangay 313) of the City Of Manila. At the time of finishing this project I was away from home for over 3 months, after having left for a trip that was meant to last 10 days. A strange time to be alive. Big thanks to Rafael for making me a part of this and to Jessica for the equipment.” - PΛRΛ
“Unholy Device is the result of becoming fascinated with cumbia sounds, listening to experimental music and the weird vibe of the lockdown in Spain” - GFXIII
